MOORING, KNOTS AND ROUTINES AT LEAVING THE BOAT

——-

Please see below photos. Important to only use Agapi standard way to tie the boat (double cross and one lock).

Always make sure to leave the boat with fenders and appropriate distance to the dock.

This boat has six main covers that go from the bow of the boat to the aft seating. Please take them off and store them in the aft sofa locker when using the boat. You must place the covers back on after use.

During high season, these are normally not installed and during the weekends, our staff normally support with removing and installing the covers.

ANCHORING ROUTINES

——–

Placed on the bow of the Axopar 37 ST is a 12 Kg anchor on a remote-controlled windlass system. There is a small safety clip that must be unclipped before using the system and then clipped back on when not using.

To use this system, you can use the remote control or the switch on the dashboard. Simply press down to put out the anchor chain into the water and up to lift the anchor back up.

Key tips for anchoring:

· Always keep an anchor watch.

· Always be prepared for bad weather.

· Let out anchor chain/warp for +1,5 times the depth of water. Ie 6 meters of water +9 meters of chain.

· The above depends on winds and congestion in the cala.

Remember never to anchor on the Posidonia seagrass!
