Understanding Agapi Memberships: Key Terms and Definitions

Onboarding
The Onboarding is mandatory and one of the core principles of our Club where you learn all about “The Agapi Way”, our routines and values. You will gain access to our e-learning platform and our staff will support with any question you might have. Before going out boating for the first time, we will meet with you for a brief practical training onboard, based on your previous nautical experience. We offer extra sessions if needed.

Boats
All boats are divided into four categories A, B, C and D. Once you selected your boat category, you will also have access to the boats in the smaller ones. If you choose category C, for example, you will also have access to the boats in category A and B. Skipper service is available, and in some cases may be required for our larger boat models or if a member lacks sufficient boating experience.

Boat availability
Our smart booking system and optimized member-to-boat ratio ensure you get on the water when you want—even for last-minute spontaneous trips. For special occasions, a bit of planning helps secure your ideal day, time and boat. If a slot is full, our App’s “Waiting List” feature alerts us instantly so we can help adjust or find alternatives. Members can always buy extra Planned days or Single boating days if needed.

Booking of boat trips
Spontaneous booking – Unlimited memberships include unlimited number of spontaneous bookings. Bookings made within 24 hours of departure.
Planned day – Bookings made in advance to secure a specific date, boat model or harbour. This type of booking can be re-used once the trip is completed or canceled and thus your Planned day becomes available again.
Extra day – Can be used to book longer periods, such as an entire week or to book several specific dates. This type of booking cannot be re-used, it is considered consumed once the trip is completed. The price for an Extra day depends on the boat model, season and location.

Global boating access
Agapi offers access to all our locations, the fee per boat trip varies based on the boat model, season and location.

Unlimited memberships
Ideal for boaters who want to enjoy the unique advantages that Agapi offers, including unlimited boating days, unlimited access to the most attractive harbours worldwide, as well as unlimited access to a fleet of premium boats.

PayGo memberships
This membership offers maximum flexibility with no fixed monthly fees. You pay only when you use the boat, giving you access to our fleet on a pay-per-use basis—ideal for occasional boaters or those seeking freedom without long-term commitment. Go boating in any of our Clubs, price per day trip varies by boat model, season and location.

Corporate memberships
An Agapi Business membership combines boating with business in a unique way. Tailored for corporate boating needs. For more information, please contact us.

Customized memberships
We offer customized solutions for boaters with specific needs such as Dual-homes, Only-summer. Please contact us for pricing and to discuss your ideal boating life.

Upgrading your membership
You may upgrade to a higher Boat Category or switch from PayGo to Unlimited, in your home harbour, at any time during your contract period. The original contract duration—start and end dates—remains unchanged. Any amount already paid under the existing membership will be credited toward the cost of the upgrade.

Charter
Unlike traditional charters, Agapi’s approach is built on our Club culture, strict quality standards, and proven routines. It also aligns with our commitment to sustainability to optimize fleet utilization. Our Charter service offers an excellent introduction to the benefits of our Membership offering for more frequent boaters.

Extra captain in your membership
You can add an extra family captain to your membership, allowing them to book and take a boat out independently. To qualify, the individual must be +18 years old, registered at the same address, and have completed our Onboarding. The Extra Captain includes one (1) Planned Day and global access.

Insurance and excess reduction
All boats are insured by Agapi with a standard insurance excess per incident. When signing up, members can buy our Excess Reduction option. Note that the reduction doesn’t apply to incidents considered gross negligence, e.g. mis-fuelling a boat, boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Incidents from gross negligence result in the application of the normal excess fee.

Fuelling
Each member has a digital fuel bank, accessible under “My Profile” in the Agapi App. This log allows you to track fuel consumption and top-ups, ensuring full control over your usage. The guiding principle is that you pay for the fuel you use, and it is your responsibility to assure this log is correct, all transactions are logged in our App. Every boat must be returned with at least 60% at arrival. Fuelling Service is available in some of our locations, please check this locally.

Cleaning
Our team is responsible for the deep-cleaning of our fleet. Members are expected to return the boat in a nice condition and to complete basic cleaning at Check-out, always consider that a peer member could have booked the boat after you. Member cleaning includes rinsing the boat with fresh water, picking up any garbage, wiping away stains, returning cushions and equipment to their original positions. For specific guidelines on boat covers, pets, and footwear onboard, please contact our local office.

Water sports equipment
In some harbours we offer a varied range of water sports equipment, please consult with our local office. This service must be booked in advance and is subject to availability.

Agapi Academy and Boat Personal Training
Through Agapi Academy, you can book extra training on our boats with an experienced instructor. If you want to get a boating license or a coastguard certificate, we can arrange it through our partner network.

Engine hours
Agapi offers memberships with the first 50 engine hours included—more than enough for almost all our members. After reaching 50 hours, a usage fee applies. This fee is cost-based and reflects engine depreciation, additional wear, and maintenance. As a reference, the fee in Mallorca is EUR 50 per hour, though rates may vary by boat and location. If a member’s boating habits change and they end up using the boat less than expected, we proactively explore more suitable membership options to ensure the best fit.
