The Owner Is Always in Control

In our model, ownership is not about exclusive access — it is about exclusive control. The owner governs availability, whether the boat is being used or not.

The owner retains 100% ownership of the boat and independently decides if, when, and to what extent the club may use it. There are no fixed structures, no obligations, and no predefined calendar. Participation in the club is entirely voluntary — a way to activate the boat when the owner is not using it.

Control remains with the owner, without the practical burden. Freedom, without friction.

Wear, Maintenance, and Long-Term Value

We specialize in managing boats. Experience shows that boats benefit far more from continuous supervision and regular maintenance than from standing idle without oversight. Over time, we see clear differences between boats that are actively managed and those left unattended, differences that ultimately affect reliability and value.

Modern engines are built to a very high standard and are designed to handle far more operating hours than many assume. While engine hours do have some impact on resale value, within reasonable usage levels it is primarily the age of the boat that drives depreciation.

Our approach is therefore to own boats for approximately 3–4 years, maintaining usage within controlled levels. Time affects the boat regardless of use — while compensation from club usage helps offset operating and maintenance costs.

All usage within the club takes place under controlled conditions. Members undergo thorough onboarding before operating a specific boat type, and every trip includes structured check-in and check-out procedures. Boats are also equipped with a black box system, creating transparency around usage and enabling follow-up when needed.

What causes the most wear on a boat is not usage — but lack of structure. A boat that is managed, used, and cared for feels far more secure than one left idle without supervision.
